How did we acquire Ramsey? 
We understand the frustration experienced worldwide when access to Ramsey products ended in 2023. As a large Ramsey customer ourselves, we didn’t want to see the unmatched quality of Ramsey removed from the market. 

So we worked with Thermo Fisher to purchase the remaining in-stock Ramsey products and acquire the rights to manufacturer and
distribute Ramsey worldwide in the future. That’s our end goal.

To bring a majority of the Ramsey product range online is a huge task – but we’re up for the challenge! We’re rebuilding the supply chain from the ground up, in line with you – our customers’ – needs, while sustaining the unmatched quality, accuracy, and reliability that Ramsey products are known for.

Q. When will I be able to order Ramsey products from SRO Technology?

We are still in the early stages of the acquisition and are in the process of finalising the details for shipments and ordering. We are working through a phased approach across 2024, to ensure products are available to order by December.

Q. Has the Ramsey product / range design changed? Or will it change as a result of this acquisition?

We’re excited to be bringing back the Ramsey products you know and love. We’re also looking forward to hearing our customers’ and technicians’ views on what needs to change, so we can continue improving and developing Ramsey products for the future.

Q. Does SRO offer service and commissioning?

For our current customers, we remain committed to servicing your needs, and this service will be enhanced by our ownership of the Ramsey range. If you have worked with a distributor previously, please get in touch with them and if you can’t find access to the product, please reach out to us directly.

Q. How will the training and support functions run from Australia?

No matter where you are, our customers can still expect first-class service from SRO Technology. We will deliver training and technical support to distributors through our teams in Australia.

Q. Where will the products be manufactured?

Work is currently underway to mobilise a global supply chain for Ramsey products. As part of this, we are committed to ensuring competitive prices and high quality products. This means we won’t always pick the easiest solution if it means our quality or costing is compromised.

We will ensure our plan is cost-effective and maintains quality. You can rely on us to undertake the appropriate quality testing of fabricated products (e.g. scales) with our experienced partners in local markets.
